FAQs & Policies ⟡
At Iron Sharp K9, the mission is to provide clear, professional, and effective training that prioritizes the safety and success of both dogs and their owners. The following FAQs and policies are here to help you know what to expect and ensure we can work together in a way that produces the best outcome for your training.
What should i bring to class?
Please bring your dog on a 4-6ft leash (no retractables), a well-fitted collar or approved training equipment, multiple different high-value treats, a treat pouch, water for your dog, and waste cleanup bags. All equipment must be properly fitted to ensure safety for both your dog and others. Especially during public or real-world training where equipment failure could pose a risk.
Do you require vaccinations?
All dogs participating in group classes and/or public training sessions must be current on Rabies, Distemper/Parvo (DHPP), and Bordatella vaccinations. Proof will be required before class starts.
For private in-home sessions, I strongly recommend dogs be current on core vaccines (as stated above), but Bordatella is not required unless participating in public training. I trust each owner to work with their veterinarian to ensure the dog’s health and safety.
How long will training take? are training results guaranteed?
Every dog is different and no ethical trainer can guarantee specific results. Success in training is an ongoing process built through consistent practice, owner follow-through, and each dog’s individual personality and history. My programs are designed to give you the tools, structure, and guidance needed to achieve the best possible outcome with your dog. The more you put in outside of our sessions, the more lasting your results will be.
what if i enroll in a group class but can no longer attend?
I understand that life happens! If you are no longer able to attend your enrolled group class, your payment can be held and transferred to the next available group within 6 months of payment. Alternatively, you may apply your payment toward private training and pay the difference in cost if you wish to move to privates. Please notify us as soon as possible if changes are going to be made so we can adjust accordingly.

payments
Group classes: $225
⟡ The full payment is required at least a week before the class start date to secure your spot. Unpaid spots will not be held. Groups are filled on a first come, first serve basis so when you decide you want to join go ahead and join the interest list.
Privates: $400 for four sessions or $115 for one.
Sessions last one hour. Can be in-home or in public locations depending on goals.
⟡ My standard private program is a 4-week package, with the option to add additional sessions as needed once the initial program is complete. Every dog progresses at their own pace, this structure gives us a strong foundation to build on. Clients may pay $400 in full at the start of the program (best value), or choose a weekly payment option at $115 per session ($460 total). The weekly payment option is provided as a convenience and does not offer savings.
⟡ Please note that consistent attendance is critical for your dog’s success. When sessions are spaced out inconsistently or progress is delayed due to missed weeks, the effectiveness of the training can be negatively impacted. For this reason, I strongly encourage clients to maintain weekly consistent lessons to ensure best possible results.
⟡ I will always bring high-quality, health conscious, training treats to every single lesson. Please let me know if your dog has any food allergies or dietary needs that could affect training. Im happy to accommodate and will always have suitable options on hand.
General terms
Missed or declined payments will result in paused training services until payment is current.
